Stop Press - new
plastic manufacturing capacity
Tefloturn have invested
heavily in 2 new CNC machines, including a VMC and CNC turning centre
with bar magazine. They arrive mid May.
We are aware that at the moment, lead times are getting longer.
So book your production time now for shorter future
delivery times.
Recent work - PTFE liners
Our client gave us a rather sad looking sample
(pictured left) for these parts. But such was his faith in our abilities
that the sample was accompanied by an order for 3 of them.

Manufactured from Pure Virgin PTFE
you can see the results. These PTFE pots or PTFE Vessels are liners
for a metal cylinder (BS 4994 PTFE is commonly used as a thermoplastic
lining for dual laminate chemical process plant equipment). He was
delighted, when they were offered to the mating part they slotted
in beautifully. In fact our client was so delighted he ordered 15
of a different size
Further examples of Tefloturn Ltd's
skill. These PTFE Pots are actually filter holders and made to very
tight tolerances. Again another very satisfied and happy client.

These are 25% Glass filled PTFE ball
valve seats which are currently in production for a client. We thought

now!

NEW CONTRACT FOR ACETAL SPHERES
Tefloturn is very proud to announce that we have
won a contract with the French company, Axxon Composites to supply
their Romanian plant with Black Acetal balls. This is a major step
forward for a small company who usually service the domestic market.
Acetal (this engineering thermoplastic is also
known as polyacetal or polyformaldehyde as well as by DuPont's brand
name Delrin) is used in precision parts due to its high degree of
stiffness, low friction and good dimensional stability.
Axxon originally came to us from our website
and our thanks go to Wensum.net for this very professional site.
It proves that good companies always get good results!

PTFE PRICES TO RISE?
One of the most popular materials we are asked
to supply and work in is polytetrafluoroethylene - more commonly
known as PTFE. This thermoplastic polymer, also known by the DuPont
brand name Teflon, is used in a wide range of applications due to
its chemical inertness, low coefficient of friction and excellent
dielectric properties.
Tefloturn has a great many contacts within the
plastics industry and we've been hearing more and more recently
about an imminent rise in the price of PTFE. One of our contacts
has informed us that PTFE may increase by as much as 18% - an incredibly
high price rise in one leap!
If you have a project which involves PTFE, it
may be a good idea to get in touch now, before the cost of this
material takes the large hike which rumours have suggested!
